This controller marked JS-109A was the 2nd I acquired. I took these pictures whilst it was open - but I decided against using it as a basis for a Atari/PC joystick interface. This was due to the small carbon coated contacts which would have been difficult to solder.

This first photo shows the top cover removed. The back of circuit boards are clearly visible as are the “rumble” motors.

This next photo shows the main circuit board. The wiring for the analogue sticks is contained on the other small circuit board (not visible in this shot) - but everything is controlled by the chip under the circle of black sealant.

This close-up shows more clearly the black carbon coating. This would have to be removed to solder to the contacts - and even then they are rather small.
